After reading chapters 7 and 8 and Appendix E, and Indiana licensing rules 470 IAC 3-4.7-63 (Links to an external site.), reflect on the relationship between equipping a center and a curriculum approach. Would you purchase different equipment for a Montessori Center than one using “The Creative Curriculum”? Think about the knowledge an early childhood administrator would need to plan and equip a program.
Using Appendix E in the text, locate a resource online for the selection of materials and equipment for an early childhood program that you will be using for your center. This may be an equipment supplier, such as Community Playthings, or a curriculum developer, such as High Scope. Find information on the site that would help you to make decisions about equipping your center.
