creating a well-developed model of scholarship as a future practitioner in becoming policemen, also included continuing education after college, life skills, and long-term skills.

* Personal epistemology – how you think about knowledge creation; learning v experience, implicit/explicit skills, how does training for management occur, what is the degree of freedom for moral/ethical reasoning;
* Discourse – how your career/ major/ discipline ‘thinks’ about itself in relation to other disciplines, how it credentials, are there schools or traditions of practice, is there a private vs public economic/political dimension, etc.;
* Rhetoric – what are the expectations for communication within your discipline and with those outside your discipline
* The model should be informed by our examinations of Personal Epistemology, Discourse Analysis, and Rhetoric but also include discussions of other dimensions of scholarship that are of interest to you and other practitioners of your discipline.
